Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp will have Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah when they play Spartak Moscow in Champions League Group Stage match.

It’s a starting line-up which will have been on many Liverpool supporters’ and Jurgen Klopp’s minds since Mohamed Salah put pen to paper on June 22.

But circumstances have frustrated Jurgen Klopp in his attempts to try to get it on the pitch – until now.

The arrival of Salah for a club record £36.9m appeared to represent the final piece of an attacking jigsaw which simply whetted the appetite.

The Egyptian has certainly upheld his end of the bargain, with six goals already under his belt, including Saturday’s opener at the King Power.

That came from a wonderful assist from Philippe Coutinho, whose early season back problem (or strained neck as he peered towards the Nou Camp perhaps?) has been the principal reason why Klopp’s number one line-has has only been on the pitch for seven minutes so far this season.

Once Coutinho returned to the fold, Klopp didn’t deem him fit enough to be part of the squad for that damaging Premier League trip to Manchester City.

And even though the three game ban Mane collected at the Etihad didn’t include the Champions League opener at Anfield against Sevilla, Coutinho was again only deemed fit enough for the bench, arriving after 76 minutes with Mane departing just seven minutes later.

Against Spartak Moscow on Tuesday night, Mane returns after completing his three game ban while it’s difficult to imagine an in-form Coutinho not being given the opportunity to continue his reintegration into the Reds squad.

Moscow then represents Jurgen Klopp’s first opportunity to see what sort of damage his preferred starting line-up can do.
